How does it work?
The precision-controlled DermaFrac™ hand piece creates a gentle suction on the skin, bringing it into contact with thousands of micro needles that create small channels. These penetrate down to the dermal layer of the skin just below the epidermal-dermal junction, the optimum placement for the infusion of growth factors into the skin, as this is where collagen-producing cells, called fibroblasts, are situated. The depth is very precise, and just above the capillary and nerve ending layer in the skin. The result is a painless yet highly effective treatment.
Is there downtime?
No. DermaFrac™ allows you to return to your normal activities immediately following the procedure. If you so desire, you may reapply your makeup immediately after the procedure. It is common to experience some pink or slightly red areas, which should fade quickly. The degree of redness you experience will be directly related to the amount of stimulation during the procedure.
Will it hurt?
Patients tell us that DermaFrac™ feels wonderful. The precise engineering of the handpiece prevents any bleeding or pain and instead provides a pleasant client experience with no downtime. DermaFrac™ is an excellent alternative to fractional laser treatments that can be expensive and more complicated.
How many treatments will I need?
DermaFrac™ is typically administered in six treatments, with each treatment scheduled every two weeks followed by maintenance visits every one to two months; however, your provider will customize a treatment regimen for your unique skin care needs. This may include a combination of LED therapy and/or microdermabrasion to maximize your results.
