You may be asked to do some blood work or have samples sent to a lab, for a full diagnosis.
Please note that our Dermatologists get booked up months in advance, so plan your consultations accordingly.
TYPICALLY R1300 - R2500
Book a consultation with one of our highly specialised Dermatologists if you are experiencing problems that affect your skin, scalp, hair, nails or lips.
They will take your full medical history, current medication regime, diet, stress levels and lifestyle habits into account. They will also conduct a skin exam, taking note of any skin discolourations, growths, moles or rashes.
Please note | Melanoma can grow very quickly and can become life threatening in as little as 6 weeks. If untreated, it can spread to other parts of the body.
If you are at an increased risk of skin cancer, book a mole mapping or a mole check with one of our dermatologists.
Mole Mapping involves taking whole-body digital photographs (using FotoFinder®) which will be securely stored in your digital file for comparative monitoring. Any unusual moles will be biopsied and sent to the lab for melanoma testing. Malignant melanoma can be detected at an early stage when treatment is most effective.
A quick mole check-up can be booked if a single mole has changed shape or size and is causing you concern. During the check-up, you can discuss your concerns with our dermatologist.
Please note, if you are concerned about Melanoma or have been told by a medical professional to seek a Dermatologist for their Melanoma opinion, please be VERY clear about this with reception so that you can be added to an emergency cancellation list or a doctor can contact you.
Consultation Priced from R1300 -R2500
*Lab work and Plastic surgery procedures are excluded and will be billed by the attending service provider*.
While we rarely think of it this way, our skin is an incredibly complex organ and a single centimetre squared of our skin contains thousands of nerve endings and hundreds of sweat glands, among other tissue components.
Our skin is often a visual indicator of changes in our health. Allergies, stress, dehydration, and hormonal changes, such as puberty or pregnancy, are just a few examples of things we experience that can take a toll on our skin.
Our Dermatologists are medical specialists with particular expertise in the aesthetic enhancement of the skin. This includes a broad range of treatments for unwanted blemishes or skin degradations.
The health of our skin affects not only our overall appearance but our mental health and ability to function optimally. Our doctors can help you on your journey to healthy skin and hair, increasing your vitality and zest for life.
